Putting the OUR in Theatre in Our Schools
Theatre and drama are essential in the lives of students all year, but March is designated to celebrate and increase public awareness of the impact of theatre in our schools and schools in our theatres. AATE invites you to celebrate Theatre in our Schools (TIOS) in your area! You know theatre education's power to make children's lives better, now shout about it and let the skeptics know how vital theatre is to youth development.
Here are a few tools:
If you'd like to host a TIOS event (Tier 3, 2, or 1), please complete the TIOS 2014 application, which can be found here. We will be doing a rolling application process so the earlier you get your application in, the earlier it will be reviewed and decided upon! We have uploaded planning documents, which can be found here, including a calendar to help you meet deadlines within the mini-conference planning process and a Tier 3 Event Guidebook.
In the weeks and months ahead, you'll be hearing more about TIOS and all the events and activities scheduled. Let's make March 2014 the best ever!
The deadline for submitting a TIOS Tier 3 application is, Friday, September 20, 2013.
We look forward to a very creative year!
