The American Alliance for Theatre and Education's Theatre In Our Schools (TIOS) campaign is designed to help promote theatre for youth at all levels across America. It is a chance for us to celebrate and promote the art of theatre and to remind us that theatre is essential in people's lives.
The New Jersey TIOS Mini-Conference Committee is seeking proposals from theatre artists and theatre educators for workshops to be presented at our mini-conference on April 28th at Appel Farm. Workshops will be scheduled in the morning and afternoon and will run for 1 hour and 15 minutes. All workshops should relate to the theme of the mini-conference, Theatre: Connecting Communities, Engaging Minds, and address the guiding questions:
- How can theatre be used to unite a community?
- How can we, as theatre artists and educators, mobilize students to be active participants in their education and engage with the world around them?
Please submit your completed proposal, including supporting material, Friday, January 27th by 11:59PM EST. Presenters will be notified by mid-March.
If you have issues completing the form please email Kelly Prestel, AATE Programming Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
