Stacey Ardelean has been teaching drama for grades 1-5 and directing for grades K-12 at Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton for 13 years and directing in the San Francisco Bay Area for 15 years. Prior to combining her love of teaching and theatre, she worked as a middle school teacher and a stage manager for several theatre companies in the Bay Area and taught at Dublin Theatre Company. She began her studies at ASU in theater education and then transferred back to her home state of California to UC Irvine to major in theatre. Stacey has been an AATE member for 12 years and has served as a conference co-chair in 2010 in San Francisco, as the PreK-8 network chair for several years, as a current member on the conference advisory committee and has been a conference presenter at many AATE conferences. She participated in the AATE Leadership institute the first year it was offered. She received the AATE award for Creative Drama in 2006.
