Emily Freeman is an Adjunct Professor at University of Central Florida where she teaches graduate courses in Theatre for Young Audiences. She is a Co-Director for interACTionZ, an Orlando based queer youth theatre program developed through a partnership between Orlando Repertory Theatre, Theatre UCF at the University of Central Florida, and the Zebra Coalition®. Emily also directs a feminist performance pedagogy ensemble of young women leaders addressing social justice in Orlando, FL. Emily has a B.A. in Theatre from Northwestern University and received her MFA from UT Austin in Drama and Theatre for Youth and Communities. She has worked for The John F. Kennedy for Performing Arts, Imagination Stage, and Asolo Repertory Theatre. Emily has been a member of AATE since 2007.
