|Programming Director, National|
Leigh Jansson has been a member of AATE since 2002, when she joined after graduating from Northwestern University. She served as a co-chair of the New Guard Mentor Reception and New Guard Network before taking a position at the AATE National Office as Operations Manager, and then as Director of Operations and Programming. After completing a Masters in Learning and Teaching at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, she moved to Beijing, China, where she worked as an early childhood educator, led youth theatre camps and after school programs, and served on the Artistic Advisory Board of the Beijing Playhouse. She has served on multiple AATE conference committees, and co-chaired the 2011 AATE Conference in Chicago. Leigh has recently returned to the U.S. and is now a teaching artist (proud member of the Story Pirates), early childhood educator and aspiring lyricist in New York City.
