March will rock nationwide in 2014 as 16 Regional Mini-Conferences and other great TIOS events enable educators, artists, and scholars to network, exchange ideas and techniques, and learn from professional development experts.

Georgia Theatre
October 10-12, 2013

Lucy Lynn Bryson will be leading a workshop at the Georgia Theatre Conference for high school teachers in attendance. The workshop will be focused on TIOS’ theme this year "Putting the OUR in Theatre in our Schools.” She will also be hosting a TIOS/AATE information booth in the exhibit hall.

March 28-30, 2014

Join the University of South Carolina (USC) for a weekend long professional development experience. On Friday, March 28, teachers will be invited to a tour, performance, and talk-back for USC’s theatre for young audiences production of "Jackie and Me.” On Saturday, March 29, USC will host a process drama event with special guest artist Pamela Bowell from the UK. On Sunday, March 30, USC will host a brunch and advocacy session for teachers, featuring the Executive Director of the South Carolina Arts Commission, on arts in education advocacy.

Networking Event

Join theatre educators in California for the opportunity to mix and mingle, discuss ideas, and share lesson plans over a light dinner. A moderator will provide a general welcome and will offer discussion topics, as well as white board stations will be available throughout the room for people to post up ideas and/ or questions.
