What is an AATE Project?
In recent years, ideas for AATE projects come from Network Meetings that occur during our Annual Conference each July. However, projects can be proposed by Networks, individuals or groups. Projects must be proposed by current AATE members.
What do I have to do to propose a Project?
Construct a proposal that includes the items listed below and submit it to the AATE office via email (info@aate.com) with the subject line: “2007-2008 Project Proposal.” See deadline information below.
What if my Project doesn’t require funding? Do I still have to apply?
Yes. The AATE office keeps records of all projects regardless of funding, so let the office know that you are up to!
When is the Deadline for 2007-2008 Project Proposals?
If your project is in need of funding in 2007 (before January 2008), your project proposal is due by September 1, 2007.
If your project is in need of funding in 2008 (by or after January 1, 2008), your project proposal is due by November 1, 2007.
Projects in need of funding in 2007 will be notified by November 1, 2007.
Projects in need of funding in 2008 will be notified by January 1, 2008.
How should I document my Project spending?
All finances for AATE sponsored projects must be processed and documented by the AATE office, in accordance with non-profit tax laws. AATE wants to help you realize your project! Once any outside funding or project income is turned into the AATE office, individuals will be reimbursed by AATE for budgeted amounts.
Project Proposals should include:
• Title of project, Name of AATE Network proposing the project (if applicable)
• Names and contact information (address, phone numbers, email) of Project Chairs and/or Project Committee Members
• Brief Overview of the Project (about 1 page—include goals, description, location, etc)
• Project Planning Timeline (include start/end dates and internal deadlines)
• Intended Participants and/or Audience
• Total Project Budget Outline including Dollar Amount Requested from AATE (minimum and maximum) and Alternative Funding Plans
• Any administrative/other resources needed from either AATE or outside sources
