Session Proposal Guidelines
Final deadline for Proposals: Nov 15, 2007

• Please send your proposal electronically to sessionproposals2008@aate.com

• The subject line of your email should read ATL2008-(your last name)

Ex: ATL2008-JOHNSON

• You will receive a confirmation email that your proposal has been received.

Confirmation of acceptance to the conference will be sent by January 30, 2008.

• Short Description: In 100 words or less, please describe your proposal’s goals, methods, and techniques, and how will each presenter be used.

• Theme Relevance: In 100 words or less, please describe how your proposal relates to the conference theme.

• Room, Space and Furniture requests:

• Required A/V Equipment: AATE will do its best to provide needed equipment, but cannot guarantee to do so.  Please describe your A/V needs and why the equipment is necessary.  Any equipment that AATE is unable to provide will be at the sole expense of the presenter.  We will be unable to add any requests for A/V equipment after Dec. 1, 2007.

• Other special needs (interpreters, other accommodations ect):

• Session Participants: Please list the name, affiliation, and contact information for each session participant.

• In order to include more quality sessions in AATE conference programming, presenters may be asked to combine their sessions with similar or related session proposals.  Would you be willing to adjust/combine your session if asked?  Please note that this may increase the chances of having your session accepted.

• Please include the following statement with your session proposal:

By submitting this session proposal, I acknowledge the following:

a)  I understand that all session presenters must register for conference.  I agree that presenter participation is voluntary, and that presenters and panelists DO NOT receive discounted or complimentary registration, lodging, or travel in exchange for their participation.  If this session is accepted, I agree also to inform all participants in my session of this policy, and confirm that all presenters in this session will be registered by the early registration deadline of May 31, 2008.  I understand that failure to register all participants by this date will result in forfeiture of this session's acceptance.  
b) I understand that while AATE and the 2008 Conference Committee will make every reasonable effort to accommodate presenters, session acceptance, Audio/Visual requests, room specifications and time/day requests cannot be guaranteed.
