Scripting Our Future: The Next Generation Strategic Plan
We need your help in scripting AATE’s future! Check back often for updates on the plan and ways you can contribute.
Why Does AATE Need A Next Generation Strategic Plan?
A strategic plan is a roadmap of where you want to be in five years. It helps an organization and its leadership focus on desired outcomes and what’s most important to the membership. A strong strategic plan helps leadership make thoughtful decisions about the programs and services the organization offers, and how those programs and services support the mission and the core values of the membership. It also informs the organization’s advocacy positions and where possible new partnerships could be forged.
What Key Elements Will Be Included In The Plan?
The next generation strategic plan will include our Mission and Vision Statements, Core Values, Outcome Statements, Goals, Objectives, and Action Steps. In the hierarchy of the plan, the Mission and Vision inform the core values, and the Outcome Statements of the Core Values direct the Goals, Objectives and Action Steps of the plan. The graphic on the left illustrates how each element informs the next. As the plan unfolds and each element is approved, information will be posted to this site. Check back often to monitor our progress.
What is the Timeline of the Strategic Plan?
The strategic planning process will kick off in January 2013, with the goal of unveiling AATE’s next generation five-year plan at the 2014 conference in Denver. Over the next 18 months, members will be asked to contribute in the strategic planning process and help AATE draft outcome statements, goals and objectives. More...
