The Community Resiliency Model (CRM) educates participants about the biology and neurophysiology of trauma, stress, and resiliency, as well as how to teach biologically based wellness skills.  CRM creates trauma-informed and resiliency-focused communities that share a common understanding of the impact of trauma and chronic stress and how resiliency can be restored and increased using a simple skills-based approach.  CRM skills focus on increasing tracking and awareness to reduce somatic and affective responses to adverse experiences or stress, equipping children and adults to be more self-aware, self-regulated, resilient, and better able to connect with others. The use of this model provides a new way for artists, teachers, and facilitators to build resilience for themselves and others within a community context.

Youth Theatre Game Exchange

Still virtual? Still playing games and looking for some fresh ideas? Join us for a hands-on exchange of dynamic and purposeful games and exercises for working virtually in Youth Theatre. The goal of the exchange is to help identify and share games done virtually (via Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, etc.), exercises for building foundational theatre skills (e.g. ensemble, trust, risk-taking, active listening etc.), and activities that support theatre-making (e.g. character creation, sequencing, objective/obstacle, vocal technique, etc...). Participants will have the opportunity to lead and actively participate throughout the session, and all will receive a detailed file of shared games.
