Unique Funding Programs for Theatre Artists, Educators & Scholars

Our Board has championed a creation of ways to support our members financially. We’ve also located some unique funding programs outside of our own organizations to help support the strong efforts of our country’s most talented theatre artists & educators. You. 

AATE Betsy Quinn Scholarship

The American Alliance for Theatre and Education proudly introduces the Betsy Quinn Scholarship Initiative, developed to support attendance and participation at the AATE annual conference by the youth members of a well-deserving and high-quality youth programs, particularly those involving under-served populations. The youth members will present some aspect of their programming as a part of their conference attendance. This award was created in 2011 in celebration of Betsy Quinn’s leadership and dedication to the American Alliance for Theatre and Education.

Don and Elizabeth Doyle Fellowship

The Don and Elizabeth Doyle Fellowship Committee is pleased to announce the fifth Annual Doyle Fellowship, named for the Doyles for a lifetime of creative work in Theatre for Youth. This award will be given to an outstanding graduate-level student of demonstrated artistic ability in the area of Theatre for Youth. In addition, the candidate should indicate a professional interest in pursuing career goals consistent with the legacy of the Doyles.

Winifred Ward Scholarship

The Winifred Ward Memorial Fund, Inc. is pleased to announce the 44th Annual Winifred Ward Scholarship, named for the pioneer of children’s theatre and creative drama in the United States. The 44th award of $10,000 will be given to an outstanding graduate-level student who has demonstrated intellectual and artistic ability in the area of child drama/theatre. In addition, the candidate should indicate a professional interest in pursuing career goals consistent with the legacy of Winifred Ward.
