In an effort to make the conference accessible to artists, educators, and scholars from varying economic spans, we have partnered with Augsburg University to provide a cheaper housing opportunity for Conference attendees. 

Please indicate on your registration form for the 2018 AATE National Conference that you are interested in utilizing the dorm housing. Once we see that you are interested, we will send you more information, including how you can book your room.

Travel and Transportation Tips:

BY AIR
Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (20 minutes from the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis)

GROUND TRANSPORTATION
To get to your hotel, we recommend one of the following methods of transportation:

BY CAR
Hyatt Regency Minneapolis Valet Parking is $38 / day.

BY LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT
Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (55 minutes to the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis, includes 12 minute walk).

If you have the time, want to save money, and are willing to walk a few blocks once downtown, consider taking the train from the airport: Metro Blue Line (toward Downtown Minneapolis, Nicollet Mall stop).

CONSTRUCTION
Please be aware that there is some pretty significant construction taking place between the airport and downtown Minneapolis. Below are a couple of maps to reference should attendees be driving in to the city.  Downtown is still accessible however be advised that some exits are closed.
